The East Hampton Historical Farm Museum is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization. We are a living, interactive farm experience and cultural museum. We seek to deepen the community's understanding of the lifestyles of local citizens from the 1880s through the 1930s. These residents were farmers, baymen, craftsmen, and skilled laborers.
Our museum offers a fascinating journey through time and space, featuring exhibits of a family home and historical artifacts from their daily life; community events held to bring locals together and celebrate our town’s history; and our beautiful grounds open to the public to explore. Show off your baking skills on Saturday, November 22nd at our Thanksgiving Pie Bake-Off. Entry fee is $10. Event starts at 12:45pm.

East Hampton Historical Farm Museum is a museum dedicated to the history and culture of our town and its agricultural roots. We have exhibits featuring artifacts, art, and interactive displays that tell the story of our community.

The term "Bonacker" comes from the Accabonac Harbor, derived from a Montaukett word for "ground nuts" (potatoes). For centuries, Bonackers have made their living as baymen, fishermen, and farmers, relying heavily on the sea and land for their sustenance. Clamming and fishing were central to their culture and cuisine. Many Bonac families are descendants of 17th-century English settlers who first came to East Hampton.
Join us for a conversation with Steve Talmage and Alex Balsam of Balsam Farms on Saturday, November 1st at 1pm at our Barn! We will discuss farming practices from the past, and today's new approach for the changing landscape.
Join us on Sunday, October 5th for the East Hampton Fire Department Open House from 10am- 3pm. We will display the Fire House's antique equipment and newspaper articles of fires they've fought in the past! Come show your support for some of our bravest community members!
Our next meeting is on Sunday, September 14th from 5-8 pm. We are thrilled to have anthropological archaeologist Dr. Allison McGovern joining us again to present her ongoing research on Freetown. Drinks and dessert will be provided. Spread the word, bring your covered dish and lawn chair.
Lets support the EHHFM Art Club's inaugural craft fair to showcase local artisans on Saturday, September 13th, between 11am - 3:30pm. Check out your neighbors' incredible creations, from delicious cookies to beautiful handwoven baskets and beeswax candles!

The Grounds are always open and free to visit. Matthew's Garden and Sundial are available to visit at any time, rain or shine. The picnic tables are here for the public to enjoy. All we ask is that you be respectful and clean up after yourselves! Trash cans are available on the property.
In July and August, children’s arts and crafts classes are on Saturdays 10am -12pm.
