The Sons & Daughters of East Hampton was an organization that was created in the late 1970s as a way for true locals to gather and enjoy each other's company. They met four times a year with a covered dish supper and hosted a guest speaker. The group was very successful for about 30 years, but as the original members got older and many passed away, the organization slowly dissolved. After the death of treasurer Linda Miller in 2021, who also organized the events, the Sons & Daughters sadly stopped meeting.
Until now! We at the Farm Museum want to change that! We held a casual meeting last fall in the old tradition and received an overwhelmingly positive response. This led us to officially restart operations, but we need your help to keep the group alive! Know someone whose family has been here for generations? Are you yourself a local who'd love to connect with their community and honor this town's history? Join us for our next meeting!
Members need to meet only 1 of 3 requirements:
1. Your parents were born here.
2. You were born here.
3. You went to school in East Hampton Town.
There are no longer yearly dues, so we have limited resources. Donations are always welcome, and member recruitment is done by word of mouth!
